A little piece on masks

I do a newspaper column called "Whine and Cheese." The idea is that "readers" (actually me) send their complaints in to the newspaper. For what it's worth, here's the latest installment.

As a matter of fact, I like the mask idea. It would be very entertaining to see all the running presidential candidates wear a "Stephen Colbert" mask to add humor since nothing is taken seriously nowadays anyway. Furthermore, masks will avoid distraction by their blinding grins (don't they all bleach their teeth?).

I guarantee if the presidential candidates dressed in masks and even more, put entire "super hero" costuems on, I would watch every single debate. Picture this. It will make you laugh.

Now I see why this blog is called "communication lite." :) But seriously, why can't we have a mask day at USF? (I'm not talking about Halloween -- that would be too predictable.) Seriously in a different way: I think presidential candidates (or presidents) sometimes do wear masks. You just don't know it's a mask until their true personality starts to shine through.
